
Yvette Wilson dies at 48
Yvette Wilson died from cervical cancer on Thursday, June 14. She was 48. According to TMZ, the actress had Stage 4 cancer at the time of her death.
“Yvette has experienced kidney failure, kidney transplants and cervical cancer, among other things. Her cancer has come back after an extended retreat, and doctors are saying it’s very aggressive this time out”, says a statement posted on the site created to help raise money for her medical costs.
“F–k cancer… Oh god. My heart is so unbelievably broken. I want to thank all my tweeties for their prayers but god has chosen to take my sister Yvette home”, Shar Jackson wrote on Twitter after Wilson died.
Yvette Wilson was best known for playing Andell Wilkerson on the UPN sitcom ‘Moesha’. She starred in five seasons and its spinoff, ‘The Parkers’.
