Woody Allen son writes malicious tweet on Father's Day
Father’s Day is usually about love, but not for Woody Allen. The 76-year-old director had an embarrassing day. His estranged son, Ronan Farrow took Twitter to remember his father that his current wife was his step-daughter.
“Happy father’s day — or as they call it in my family, happy brother-in-law’s day”, Ronan wrote.
In response, his mother, Mia Farrow retweeted the message and added the word, “BOOM”.
24-year-old Ronan stopped talking to his father in 1992 (he was 4-year-old at the time) when it was discovered Woody had been dating Soon-Yi Previn, Mia Farrow’s adopted daughter with her second husband Andre Previn. Woody Allen first met Soon-Yi in 1980 when he started dating Mia. Soon-Yi was 10-year-old at the time. She was in her early 20s when she began a relationship with the Oscar winner director. Allen and Soon-Yi Previn married on December 24, 1997, in the Palazzo Cavalli in Venice. The couple have adopted two daughters, naming them Bechet and Manzie Tio.
