Why Chaz Bono & Jennifer Elia Split?

Chaz Bono split from his fiancee Jennifer Elia. Giving the fact that Jennifer was by his side in the process of becoming a man and Chaz was taking her everywhere, we don’t see why they split. 

“When this couple started this relationship they were both women — and now one is a man. Add to that, they both have had substance issues and a lot of personal problems they needed to figure out. It was an amazing relationship and they wanted to get through the TV show together before making a decision about moving forward”, one source close to the couple told Huffingtonpost.
It looks like their relationship was actually on the rocks for some time. Despite becoming engaged a few months ago, the two were living in separates houses and they both  had been in therapy to save their relationship.

Also,  Chaz didn’t like that Jennifer was enjoying the spotlight too much. While promoting his book, ‘Transition: The Story of How I Became a Man’, Chaz descrived Jennifer as a “big ham and enjoyed that attention”.
