Bon Iver
Bon Iver was named the Best New Artist Award at Sunday’s Grammys beating The Band Perry, Nicki Minaj, J. Cole and Skrillex. But who is Bon Iver?
The band was formed in 2007 by frontman Justin Vernon and sings indie folk-rock music. The band (which also includes Michael Noyce, Sean Carey, and Matthew McCaughan) released two albums: ‘For Emma, Forever Ago’ in 2008 and ‘Bon Iver, Bon Iver’. This last one won a 2012 Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album.
This year, Bon Iver released a collaboration with Kanye West called ‘Lost in the World’. Also, their music has been featured on TV shows like ‘Chuck’ and ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ plus nabbed a spot on ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ soundtrack with ‘Rosyln’.
Bon Iver can be seen performing at the Sasquatch Music Festival, over Memorial Day Weekend in Washington state.
