Kate Middleton and Prince William
We don’t want to jinx on Prince William‘s marriage with Kate Middleton, but he’s after all a rich man.
And we want to know what happens if William ever divorces Kate. Well, because a prenup is not legally in UK, in case they split, she could own half of the kingdom. Good move!
Now let’s not forget that William’s grandma is reportedly worth around $450 million.
But why is a prenup worthless in England? Well, it seems like English laws are more romantic than Shakespeare. It looks like English law was based upon the idea that a married couple should be together for life and their property should be shared.
In William’s case, it seems like he’s going to sign a prenup after all, just to be safe and just in case the marital law would ever change.
