Pleasant Bridgewater

In Travolta extortion trial, a new witness, Det. Sgt. Debra Thompson  has testified that the day the police arrested defendant Pleasant Bridgewater, on January 22, they searched Bridgewater's office at her law firm. The police was looking for the papers which, according to Pleasant Bridgewater, could incriminate John Travolta of wanting his son’s death. But surprise! While they were in the office, Pleasant told them there was no copy of the extortion document, because she burned it and flushed it down one of the toilets at her house.
The police then went to Pleasant Bridgewater’s house where she showed them the candle she used to burn the papers and they took photos of it.
