Cate Blanchett

On Wednesday, during one of her live performance in Australia, Cate Blanchett got her head injured. The actress was performing 'A Streetcar Named Desire' at The Sydney Theatre Company. While she was playing her role, as part of the script, cast member Joel Edgerton threw a radio and it hit Blanchet's head.
"She had blood streaming down the back of her head and blood on the back of her neck", one person of the audience declared for Sydney Morning Herald.
"She acted for about another 30 seconds, then ran into what we thought was the next scene, but before we knew it the lights were turned on and we were told there were technical difficulties and everyone had to evacuate the Sydney Theatre Company", the eyewitness added.

Madonna

Madonna

There is nothing Madonna could not do! And to prove she is the all achieving  kind of woman, Madonna got involved into a new project which requires to direct a musical. It is talking about a musical which has in its centre the American socialite turned Duchess of Windsor Wallis Simpson. Cate Blanchett was chosen to play the Duchess’s role.
This is not the first time when The Material Girl is directing a film. In 2008 she made her directorial debut in short film ‘Filth and Wisdom’. The pop star hopes to tell Simpson’s life story also mentioning her love affair with Edward III. The English King even gave up on his throne to marry Wallis.
“The final script is now written and the locations have been scouted. Madonna is now trying to assemble the cast and put the finances in place. The first scene is an old woman in her nineties living on her own in a Parisian flat (apartment), she starts to tell her life story to a housekeeper and it turns out the woman is Wallis Simpson. There will be a song for every decade of her life”, declared for The Sun.
