Aerosmith members are suspicious that their colleague, Steven Tyler may be on drugs. Recently Aerosmith frontman, Steven Tyler announced that he may quit the band. The rest of the band made it clear that they want to go on even with a new frontman. “Aerosmith is positively looking for a new singer to work with. You just can’t take 40 years of experience and throw it in the bin,” Joe Perry wrote on his Twitter page."Steven wants to do what he wants to do. That's great. I support him. I will always love him. I have always supported him … but we want to play too. I can’t sit around for two years and not play my drums — or not function as a band. Just like writers write and dancers dance, we’re musicians. We make music. That's what we want to continue to do, so whatever we have to do to move forward in that direction, that’s what will happen", drummer Joey Kramer said.
But at the same time, the guys are worried about Steven's condition. Guitarist Brad Whitford even suggested that Aerosmith's legend singer may be "struggling very badly" with some kind of addiction.
"This guy has a tremendous history of drug abuse, and you have to be suspicious that this is something that is probably going on with him. I think that's got to be a part of this irrational behavior. People in recovery and stuff, if you're really doing it, it takes a lot of work", he said.
Anyway, it is not yet sure if Tyler is really going to leave the band since a week ago he appeared at the Joe Perry Project’s concert at New York’s Fillmore at Irving Plaza to announce the fans that he is not quitting Aerosmith despite previous rumors. “I just want New York to know, I am not leaving Aerosmith. Joe Perry, you are a man of many colors. But I, motherf--ker, am the rainbow!” Well, we don't know about Tyler's departure, but he obviously has some weird language. Could this be due to drugs use?
