Apple has lost one of its co-fonders. Steve Jobs died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 56.
“Steve’s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve. His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts”, the company said in a statement.
Jobs and Steve Wozniak co-founded Apple Computers in 1976. Jobs left Apple in 1984 and he got rehired in 1996.
He married Laurene Powell in 1991 and they had three children: Reed Paul, Erin Sienna and Eve. Jobs also had a daughter, Lisa with high school girlfriend, Chris Ann Brennan.
