‘Spartacus: Blood and Sand’ star, Andy Whitfield has been diagnosed with a treatable form of non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. According to EW.com, the actor is already undergoing a treatment. “I’m receiving excellent care, and am feeling strong, positive and determined with an army of support behind me”, Whitfield says.
The time Andy Whitfield is receiving treatment for the condition, Starz Entertainment will postpone production on season 2, titled ‘Spartacus: Vengeance’.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Andy. His health, of course, is our primary concern. He has our complete support during this difficult time”, Ausiello Files quotes Starz president Chris Albrecht saying.
Andy Whitfield previously starred on Australian TV series as ‘Opening Up’ and ‘McLeod’s Daughters.’
