Sir Elton John to Adopt HIV-positive Child from Ukraine

When it comes to HIV-positive children, no matter what we do, it is very hard to improve their lives. But some of us are still trying to put a smile on those children's faces. One of them is Sir Elton John, joined by his husband, David Furnish who want to adopt a 14 month-old HIV-positive kid they met in one orphanage in Ukraine.

Only that their request was denied because they are a homosexual couple. In Ukraine it is forbidden for gay couples to adopt children. 
"David and I have always talked about adoption. David always wanted to adopt a child and I always said 'no' because I am 62 and I think because of the traveling I do and the life I have, maybe it wouldn't be fair for the child", Elton declared. "Having seen Lev today, I would love to adopt him. I don't know how we do that but he has stolen my heart. And he has stolen David's heart and it would be wonderful if we can have a home. I've changed my mind today", the music legend added.
Another issue against adopting in Sir Elton John case is his age. The singer is considered "too old" to look after the young boy. In Ukraine the law says that there can not be more than 45 years difference between a father and his adopted child.
