Sheryl Crow brain tumor found
Sheryl Crow has a brain tumor, the singer confessed. “I worried about my memory so much that I went and got an MRI. And I found out I have a brain tumor … but it’s benign, so I don’t have to worry about it”, the 50-year-old told the Las Vegas Review Journal.
The tumor is what’s called a meningioma, a growth that develops from the protective linings of the brain and spinal cord. It looks like this is a common condition that won’t affect the singer’s health too much. So far is unclear whether the singer will undergo surgery or not.
The announcement was made after last month, the singer forgot the lyrics of her song while on stage in Florida. “I’m 50 what can I say! My brain has gone to s**t!” she excused herself at the time.
This is not the first time when Sheryl Crow goes through a cancer scare. The singer successfully battled breast cancer back in 2006.
As for personal life, the singer dated Owen Wilson in early 2000. From 2003 until 2006 she dated (and was engaged to) cyclist Lance Armstrong. In mid-2007, the singer adopted a two-week-old boy named Wyatt Steven Crow. Four years later, she adopted another boy named Levi James Crow. In May 2011, it was reported that Crow and longtime acquaintance Doyle Bramhall II began dating. No word if the two are still dating.
During her musical career, the singer has won nine Grammy Awards from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
