Sharon Osbourne Katy Perry
Sharon Osbourne Katy Perry feud? The singer’s interview in Teen Vogue’s May issue is not receiving the best critics.
“Fame is, I think, just a disgusting by-product of what I do. I stopped focusing on what other people think a while ago. If you try to be everything to everyone, you’ll only end up completely confused”, she said after divorcing husband of less than two years, Russell Brand.
“I’m tired of being famous already. But I’m not tired of creating”, the 27-year-old singer also said.
But that didn’t impress Sharon Osbourne too much. Ozzy’s wife felt like criticizing Perry for what she feels. Don’t you just love when people forget their own issues and they go messing with the others issues. “What are you doing you silly little girl?! … You wanted it, you got it, now shut up!”, ‘The Talk’ co-host said on Tuesday’s program.
“Don’t say it publicly. Get a therapist”, Julie Chen added.
Sheryl Underwood said that Katy Perry should learn to manage her popularity. She also advised the newly divorcee to stay away from men such as Baptiste Giabiconi.
Katy Perry saw the show and she fired back by tweeting: “O the joy of something verbally said being taking out of complete context in PRINT”.
“U see, the fame quote was spoken in jest (which is typical of me) BUT it’s not really about that. The fact is: my success, & u my fans have afforded me the most incredible luxury: to grow as an artist & a human. THAT, I could not be more grateful for”, she later added.
To us, what Katy Perry said seems pretty true and reasonable. She’s hurt, but these are not right because she’s hurt. They are generally true. You have to be yourself. It’s also true that she might not practice what she preaches, but who are we to judge her? People such as Sharon Osbourne need a topic for their shows. They can’t make a show if they agree with what Katy Perry says. They have to create a feud. That’s why the singer should not be upset. Sharon is just doing her job.
