Apparently Shakira is secretly dating soccer player Gerard Pique. The two tried to hide from the paparazzi for a while, but they were seen together several times in the past few months.
This week only they were seen together at El Prat Barcelona airport preparing to catch a private jet. They were also spotted holding hands as they left a restaurant in Barcelona.
On February 2, the FC Barcelona soccer player uploaded a photo from his birthday. In the photo we can see a smiling Shakira alongside Pique’s friends. But they insist on being just friends. “You shouldn’t take any notice of waka-rumours”, she said during a press conference. “We’re just friends. We’re just friends and that’s that”, 24-year-old Pique also said last month.
But in the end they are probably dating.
In January of this year, 34-year-old Shakira split from her boyfriend of 11 years Antonio de la Rua.
