Sean Penn was married to Madonna from 1985 to 1989. Two decades later, the 52-year-old actor still believes that his former wife is a hot woman. The Oscar winning actor took the front row at her October 11 MDNA show in Los Angeles.

“Their chemistry was off the charts. Madonna seemed to be performing entirely for Sean. And he was saying things like ‘Amazing!’ and ‘She’s so hot!’”, a source told Us Weekly.

Sean met Madonna on the set of the music video for the singer’s hit ‘Material Girl’ in 1985. Just months later they tied the knot. The next year, Madonna released her third album, ‘True Blue’. She dedicated the album to Sean whom she described as “the coolest guy in the universe”. But their marriage was not the happiest romance ever. Fighting all the time, Sean and Madonna earned the nickname “the Poison Penns”. In 1989, they split and divorced.

Following the divorce, Sean married Robin Wright in 1996. After an on again off again marriage and two children, the two definitely split in 2009. After she divorced Sean Penn,  Madonna wed director Guy Ritchie.
But in 2010, the rumor had it Sean and Madonna got back together. Why? They had a three-hour dinner at Adour Alain Ducasse. But no, they only remained close friends. “But they are fire and fire together romantically. She can only be with someone she can control”, a source said. They are both Lions. She’s born August 16, he’s born August 17. It’s hard for them to get along too well. “Madonna’s friends wish she’d get back with Sean. He will always be the love of her life”, the source added.

Meanwhile, Sean had a six month long relationship with Scarlett Johansson. As for 54-year-old Madonna, she has been dating 26-year-old Brahim Zaibt for the last two years.
