Sarah Jessica Parker Barack Obama fundraiser was "very tasty"
Sarah Jessica Parker had to be very nervous during her celebrity fundraising event for Barack Obama in New York City. Among the guests: Anna Wintour, Meryl Streep, Micahel Kors, Andy Cohen, Jason Sudeikis and Aretha Franklin. Unfortunately, Sarah Jessica Parker’s husband Broderick missed the event because he had a performance.
Barack Obama and his first lady Michelle Obama arrived to the actors’ home around 3:50 pm.
“You’re the tie-breaker. You’re the ultimate arbiter of which direction this country goes”, the US President told the 50 guests in attendance.
The event was great, the food was great.
Aretha Franklin was the first to leave the event after she spent 20 minutes in the house. Asked by TMZ about the $40,000 a-plate dinner party, the singer said it was “very tasty”. They had “chicken with a mustard sauce, diced tomatoes and a lot of relishes on the side of the plate”.
After dining with Sarah Jessica Parker, the presidential couple were off to another dinner for 250 people. They reportedly netted the president’s reelection campaign $2.5 million. The event also featured a performance by Mariah Carey.
