Russell Crowe wife split after nine years

In case Russell Crowe is you kind of guy, you can dream about him. The 48-year-old actor is single.

According to Australia’s Sydney Morning Herald, the Oscar-winning actor and his wife, musician Danielle Spencer split.
The separation was amicable. Danielle stays with the boys in Sydney. Meanwhile, Russell is filming biblical epic ‘Noah’ in Long Island, New York.

The two met in 1990 on the set of the film ‘The Crossing’. They tied the knot in 2003 at a chapel on Russell’s farm in Nana Glen, Australia. They are parents to sons Charles, 8, and Tennyson, 6.

Danielle Spencer has always kept a low profile throughout her marriage to the actor. “All that stuff has nothing to do with me as a person”, she once said.

Russell Crowe starred as  Roman general Maximus Decimus Meridius in the 2000 historical epic film Gladiator. The role brought him  an Academy Award for Best Actor. He also won a Golden Globe for his role as mathematician and Nobel Prize winner John F. Nash in the biopic A Beautiful Mind.
