Rosie O'Donnell marries Michelle Rounds
Rosie O’Donnell is married. The 50-year-old actress secretly ted the knot with her girlfriend Michelle Rounds in June.
“We were to wed 10 days ago but her illness forced us to postpone the wedding”, the actress wrote on her blog on August 27.
Earlier this year, Michelle was diagnosed earlier this year with desmoid tumors, an extremely rare, cancer-like disease.
Michelle got married before her surgery on June 9. “They got married but they haven’t had the wedding celebration”, Rosie O’Donnell’s representative told Us Weekly.
On August 14, the actress suffered a heart attack and received treatment in an Intensive Care Unit. After both Rosie and Michelle will make full recovery, they intend to hold a larger wedding ceremony.
Rosie and Michelle began dating in September 2011. The became engaged in December 2011.
