After the success of 'Sherlock Holmes', Robert Downey Jr is eyed by many movie directors. Beyonce Knowles is also a very famous singer who wants to try her luck in the movie world. And these two seem to be linked to play together in a new remake of 1930s movie classic 'A Star Is Born'. This is the third time when the movie is reworked after the first time it was released in 1937. Judy Garland and James Mason played the same roles in 1957, then in 1976 it was Barbara Streisand and Kris Kristofferson's turn to do the musical.
Nick Cassavettes is set to be the new remake's director. According to Deadline Hollywood Daily, the actor - turned - director has signed a deal with Warner Bros ahead of a 2012 release. Robert Downey Jr and Beyonce Knowles are the favorites for the lead roles, playing Normal Maine and Esther Victoria Blodgett, aka Vicki Lester.
Jon Hamm, Alicia Keys and Rihanna are rumored as back-up stars.
