According to E! News Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal have split. "They needed time to figure it out and they were on different coasts. When they were finally together, they talked it out and decided they're not going to be together anymore. There are no other people involved. The relationship just ended. It just fizzled. But they also wanted to be careful and private about it because of Reese's kids", a source declared for E! News. 
"The relationship was at the point where they either got engaged or broke up. There is no doubt that they love each other very much, but Reese wasn't ready to say 'I do.' And if she wasn't ready after two years of dating, Jake wondered if she ever would be", another source declared for PopEater.com.
Reese or Jake made no comment yet on this issue. Also their representatives, who confirmed a few weeks ago to People that rumors claiming the pair has broken up after two years of dating were not true, made no comment either. At the same time, there were rumors saying Jake will propose Reese over the holidays. But we take that won't happen either.
The couple met in 2007 while filming thriller 'Rendition'.
