Balloon Boy and his father

We have the police's official conclusion concerning Falcon Heene, the "balloon boy" case and it says: "HOAX"! Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden declared that the runaway balloon incident was a "hoax planned event for two weeks" and a "publicity stunt" to promote a reality show.

So the boy's family will be charged with at least two charges: one is the contribution to the delinquency of a minor, which is a felony and the second is conspiracy. Not to mention false reporting and attempt to influence an officer. As a consequence of all this charges they could face a maximum sentence of six years in prison and a $500,000 fine. The children won't be charged due to their age, but the Child Protective Services is investigating the case.
