It’s time to come back to Earth, Sir! Paul McCartney has finally decided to quit smoking cannabis.
The 69-year-old singer, who was arrested for cannabis possession back in 1972, deported from Japan in 1980 for the same reason and arrested once again in 1984, confessed he took this decision for his daughter.
“I did a lot, and it was enough. I smoked my share. When you’re bringing up a youngster, your sense of responsibility does kick in, if you’re lucky, at some point. Enough’s enough – you just don’t seem to think it’s necessary”, the former Beatle told The Rolling Stone.
McCartney said his 8-year-old daughter Beatrice was the one developing his “sense of responsibility”.
Beatrice is McCartney’s daughter with second wife Heather Mills.
The singer married his third wife Nancy Shevell in October 2011.
