Oscar Pistorius guilty of culpable homicide
Oscar Pistorius was found guilty of culpable homicide on September 11. The judge also found him guilty of one other weapons charge.
The trial was held in South Africa and there is no minimum sentence for culpable homicide under their law. The maximum sentence is 15 years. And that’s what the former Olympic is facing. The sentence will be made public in a few weeks.
Pistorius admitted to shooting and killing his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, on Valentine’s Day of 2013. But he insisted he thought she was an intruder.
