Nicki Minaj American Idol: she becomes a judge on the show

Nicki Minaj is an ‘American Idol’ judge! The 29-year-old rapper will be joining Mariah Carey at the judges’ table.

“I’m not sure the deal is completely done yet, but yes, she is definitely doing it. A few more slight things to sign off on but it is happening”, a source told Us Weekly. “100% confirmed to judge American Idol”, a second source added.
So far, Nicki’s representative made no comment on the issue.

Can you imagine Nicki and Mariah together? They are so crazy in their own different ways. We bet, American Idol will be about them rather than about music. That’s probably what producers want to achieve.

Mariah Carey was confirmed as a judge on the show on 23 July. Meanwhile, Nick Jonas and N.E.R.D. rapper Pharrell Williams are also being considered to fill one of the vacant seats at the judges’ table.
