Huge opportunity for Michelle Williams' career! The actress will play iconic screen sex symbol Marilyn Monroe in upcoming drama 'My Week With Marilyn', Baz_Bamigboye reported on Thursday.
The film is directed by Simon Curtis and gives a look behind the scenes during the making of 1957’s 'The Prince And The Showgirl', which starred Marilyn and Laurence Olivier.
It seems like the script is based on a diary kept by one of Olivier’s employees. For this role, Michelle has competed with Scarlett Johansson and Amy Adams, but producers thought the 'Brokeback Mountain' star is the most appropriate to play Marilyn.
Filming begins in June 2010.
