What happened to Meryl Streep last night at the Golden Globes? The 62-year-old actress, who’s usually funny, made a few weird comments during her acceptance speech.
The actress won the Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama award for her role as Margaret Thatcher in ‘The Iron Lady’.
At first, she swore on stage after forgetting her glasses and not being able to read her speech. “Ooooh s*** oh my glasses, I forgot my glasses, now I have to remember my speech”, she said.
Then she called director Harvey Weinstein her ‘God’.
“I just want to thank my agent and God — Harvey Weinstein”, she said.
In the end, Streep thanked “everybody in England that let me come and trample over their history”.
