'So You Think You Can Dance' judge Mary Murphy reveals that she was abused by her former husband. The 51 years old Murphy is on the cover of US Weekly this week and she gave a fully interview to the magazine. Murry reveals that she was raped and beaten repeatedly, she was the witness of massive abuse, suffered a miscarriage, reconciliation attempts, and then divorce. "A fight, then rape, then presents: a dress, a diamond bracelet, earrings. In the first year or two, I'd fight back, but eventually, I'd just lie there. Get it over with, I thought. It'll be quick anyway. I'd have black eyes and bruises. But I never called the police or went to the hospital. I didn't want anybody to know", she said.
When she found out that her husband was cheating on her and had also proposed a different woman, she was able to get divorce. "I'd been hit by a sledgehammer. I faced him one more time to sign the papers, and then I never heard from him again", Murphy explains.

We are nearly the same in age, as I too have suffered at the hands of abusers. Some how society have turned a blind eye to this horrible thing that happens to women on the lower pole of the economic and social communities. However this is something that have managed to affect all ethnic, economic and social groups alike. It's a pity that the media get involved when sadly something like this happens to someone famous. I have recently written a book, Battle Scars of Emotions, Divine Healing from the Scars of Life." I am hopeful that Mary Murphy, Rahanna and Juanita Byaum to name a few, would please contact me in helping me to sponsor and produce an Inspirational & Christian stage play that I have written on the subject of domestic abuse. So that the world would see for themselves in such a life changing event that not only affects the victims but everyone around them. Please help me to make contact Mary Murphy with assisting me with this worth while cause. TGBTG! Audre'L
