Madonna Dedicates Song to Elton John

Madonna Elton John feud: she forgives him...sort of

Madonna wants to be friends with Elton John. Or at least, she doesn’t want for their feud to continue. In order to reconcile with the singer, Madonna dedicated him a song during a recent concert in France, adding that she forgives him for calling her a “fairground stripper”.

“She’s such a nightmare … Her tour has been a disaster and it couldn’t have happened to a bigger c***”, Elton John said earlier this year.

Madonna dedicated her song ‘Masterpiece‘ to Elton.

“I know he’s a big fan of it. And I know he’s a big fan of mine. And you know? I forgive him. Gotta start somewhere”, Madonna said on Tuesday night, August 21, in Nice, France.

The thing is that ‘Masterpiece’ is the song that beat out Elton John’s ‘Hello Hello’ for Best Original Song at the Golden Globes in January. So we can’t stop wondering if she was just ironic. ‘Masterpiece’ is the reason their feud started in the first place.

At the time, Elton John’s partner David Furnish criticized Madonna calling her “desperate” and saying her acceptance speech “was embarrassing in its narcissism”.
