Troubled Lindsay Lohan appears on the cover of Vanity Fair's October issue.

With this occasion she gave an interview in which she opened up about her past. The interview was conducted shortly before the 24-year-old star served jail time followed by rehab time for DUI probation violation. After experimenting so many bad things, Lohan wants to became a good girl.

And most of all she wants to continue being an actress. "I want my career back. I want the respect that I had when I was doing great movies. And if that takes not going out to a club at night, then so be it. It’s not fun anyway. So many people around me would say they cared for the wrong reasons. A lot of people were pulling from me, taking from me and not giving. I had a lot of people that were there for me for, you know, the party", she said.
In the end she also talked about the future. "I don’t care what anyone says. I know that I’m a damn good actress", she said.
The magazine is supposed to be released at the same time with her latest film, Robert Rodriguez’s 'Machete', in which Lohan plays a gun-toting nun.
