Lady Gaga brings gun onstage in Milan, Italy
Lady Gaga continues to shock her fans. The 26-year-old singer brought a gun onstage. It happened in Milan during the European leg of her Born This Way tour.
Gaga took the stage in a flowing white gown, matching fur coat and a circular headpiece. Despite her angelic look, the singer was holding a giant machine gun in her hands.
What for? Now really, what does she want to say? Is violence a way of proving your creativity? Is fear a way of making the others worship you? If you look better, this attitude is kind of silly. It only says that Gaga can bring whatever she wants on stage and people will take it as a good thing. It’s like saying that people think grace to her mind. It’s ridiculous.
Recently, Madonna who feuded Gaga for a couple of years, defended the younger singer. “It’s true there is a lot of violence in the beginning of the show and sometimes the use of fake guns, but they are used as metaphors. I do not condone violence or the use of guns. Rather, they are symbols of wanting to appear strong and wanting to find a way to stop feelings that I find hurtful or damaging”, she said.
A gun makes you stronger!? Even metaphorically speaking. Why not bringing an olive branch for whatever that counts ?
However, this is not the first time when Gaga brings a gun on stage. She did the exact same thing earlier this summer.
As for her feud with Madonna. The veteran singer criticized Gaga many times for stealing her ideas. Meanwhile, Madonna changed her mind and now she supports Gaga’s work. “I’m a really big fan of ['Born This Way']. And I’m glad that I could help her write it”, Madonna said. Do we hear irony?
