Dusty Springfield
Who's going to play 60s icon Dusty Springfield in a biopic film inspired by her life and called 'Dusty'? Keira Knightley, Nicole Kidman and Amy Winehouse are competing for the role which will show the "complicated private life' of the bisexual singer, who died from breast cancer at 59 years old in 1999.
The film produced by team Stephen Woolley and Elizabeth Karlsen of London-based Number9 Films is set to start filming at the end of the next year. "Playing Dusty would be a dream role and there is sure to be fierce competition to land the part", an insider declared for The Daily Express.
Dusty Springfield is well known for hits like 'I Only Want To Be With You' and 'You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me' that she sang during the British Music Invasions of the 1960s.
