Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise‘s marriage is officially over. The couple’s divorce was finalized in NYC Monday, August 20.
Katie filed for divorce on June 28.

The actress and her husband have reached a remarkably speedy settlement one week later. According to the agreement, Katie Holmes received primary legal and physical custody of the couple’s six year old daughter, Suri.

Katie seems to be dealing pretty well with her divorce decision. “She’s doing really great. She’s so strong, she’s an independent girl with her own ideas. She is fine”, one source told Us Weekly.

33-year-old Holmes and 50-year-old Cruise tied the knot in Italy in 2006. Previously, the actor has been married to Mimi Rogers and Nicole Kidman.
