Let’s talk about love: Tom Cruise and wife Katie Holmes are renegotiating their marriage contract! Woman’s Day reports that their contract will expire the day their marriage will celebrate three years, meaning this month, so they need another one. Especially since Katie wants more money for her clothing and of course for daughter, Suri who was turned by her mother into a too young fashion addicted. As a consequence Katie talked with her father who’s a lawyer and they plan to ask for an extra 500,000 dollars for supporting Cruise’s faith in Scientology, an increase in her annual clothing allowance from 750,000 dollars to 2 million dollars. Ok, we can understand about the clothing, women are like that, but about faith??? She needs money to accept her husband’s cult? Is Tom Cruise really that naive?
And by the way, Katie also wants a role in the next ‘Mission: Impossible’ film.

If this is true, Katie did NOT truly want to marry Tom nor did she want to convert to Scientology. Tom Cruise stalked this poor woman and broke her down till she couldn't resist not to mention a Scientology bodyguard for Katie. I am not Roman Catholic but darn girl, Tom musta put something in your Kool-aid.

Why is it that child is always under dressed? Everyone is wearing long sleeves, the body guard has a warm jacket on and that child has a sleeveless outfit on. The parents are always holding a blanket for her. Is that some sort or Scientology practice?

It only shows what EGOS these two have. If she stays (past the 3 yrs) then Tom should get to keep more money for some better lifts for his shoes. Kates tired of have to bend down in family photos. Might save money by moving on to Mrs. Next!

I am so tired of ignorant, judgmental morons constantly feeding off of negative publicity and creating it for Tom Cruise and his family. For Heaven's sake, leave Suri alone. Starbuck's serves hot chocolate, water, apple juice or cider, and probably anything else Mr. Cruise might choose for his daughter. Mrs. Cruise is carrying a lovely, ample blanket for her daughter; it is NOT a baby blanket. Mr. Cruise is carrying Suri's sweater. You call those heels? Get a grip, people. Those are not heels. Suri might enjoy the feel of a soft blanket compared to the tight feel of a smothering little sweater. This is a loving family. That we get to even view them is such a delight. Negative thinkers and naysayers, don't even look, and why are you clicking on an article regarding the Cruises, anyway? Just to put them down and speculate on their marriage, that's why. Stop it, and just crawl off into your boring selves, and leave the rest of us who enjoy the Cruise family alone.

How much of Katie's money does she have to give to Tom for staying married to her! She works too. I can understand, and I support pre-nup agreements, but a 'contract to stay married' is absurd! That is not love, that is prostitution!

Why does Katie have a contract? She works doesn't she? Does this mean she has to ask him to use her money?; or is all this in addition to her money? It doesn't make sense to me at all.

Their whole arrangement is strange. Why is it neccessary to renegotiate the marriage contract? It isn't like getting a driver's license renewed every few years or a passport renewed every ten years. She should just walk away with her daughter and get a real life. Tom is a jerk of major proportions.

Wait a minute...you can demand money for staying married and supporting your husbands relgious convictions? I thought a man supported his wife because...helll, call me old fashioned, but because he loved her...as for the religion...aren't people afraid to die? seriously, being paid to support the hubbies religion is way worse than him paying her 2 million a year in clothes to live with his very, very odd, strange...and Katie...get a damn divorce honey, you will get more money.

I think the entire story is bullshit. While I do think that Suri is way too spoiled and would like to see some discipline and a bit more guidance from her parents, I believe Tom and Katie are together because they love each other. Each are financially OK without the other. No one really knows what goes on behind their closed doors anyway...

Katie was a fool for marrying him. The contract came before they got married at his insistence. Other reports I've seen in recent years report it stipulates if she leaves, he gets Suri and some small pittance compared to what Tom is really worth. The same control freak tactics he used on Nicole, which is why she doesn't have the older children. Scientology promotes NO DISCIPLINE so Suri can do what she wants, wear what she wants and with no guidelines at all can't be anything but a spoiled brat.

Why should they discipline their child by not giving her alot they should be able to give her whatever they want they got the money what should they do let it go to waste, horde it?
