Katherine Jackson interview: she sends contradictory messages
Michael Jackson‘s mother, Katherine Jackson is “devastated” that she has lost guardianship of her late son’s children. A Los Angeles court gave temporary custodianship of the children (Prince Michael, 15, Paris, 14, and Blanket, 10) to Michael’s nephew TJ Jackson.
“I am devastated that while I’ve been away, my grandchildren have been taken away from me, and I’m coming home. There are rumors going around about me that I have been kidnapped. I am here today to let everybody to know that I am good and fine. My children would never do anything to me like that”, 82-year-old Katherine told ABC News (referring to Janet, Randy, and Jermaine).
Katherine was first reported missing before it was revealed she had left the children at their Calabasas, California home to take some time off in Arizona. According to her interview to ABC News, Katherine is on her way home to be with the children.
Asked about her sudden vacation, Katherine said it was a “short vacation and rest”. Why she didn’t call? “I just gave up my phone and I didn’t want to have any phone calls while I was here”, she said. Katherine added that she left her assistant instructions on how to take care of the kids while she was gone. We remind you that Paris took Twitter to announced her grandmother missing which means she didn’t know where Katherine was.
More than that she said she never supported TJ to accept guardianship over the kids “but I don’t know who instructed him to do that … ’cause he wanted me to come home before that happened”. That means Katherine knew that TJ was going to accept guardianship but not before she got home. Previously, while in court, TJ mentioned that Katherine supported him taking steps to protect Michael’s kids.
Maybe Katherine felt like she had to hide that information because she was surrounded by Janet, Jermaine, Rebbie, Rebbie’s daughter at the time of the interview.
Meanwhile, Michael Jackson’s brothers are fighting the executors of their brother’s estate.
