Kate Winslet’s Oscar Kept in the Bathroom!

If you ever get invited to Kate Winslet’s house, don’t  focus your attention on her living room. Just go to the bathroom. Because there is where she keeps her Oscar statuette earned last year as Best Actress for ‘The Reader’.

And the actress actually admitted for UK TV show GMTV that this was the reason for which she put the golden statuette in the bathroom: so guests “can sneakily have a little [hold] and put it back down again”. We thought they could do that in the living room too, but Kate says that leaving it in the bathroom has a profound reason. “Because basically everybody wants to touch it, everybody wants to hold it and go ‘Oh, my gosh,’ and ‘How heavy is it?’ So I figured if I put it [in there], then people can avoid the whole, ‘Where’s your Oscar?’ thing”, she said.
Another sweet thing she said was about dressing up for official events. “It’s great to wear lovely dresses and to just experience those moments of dress up, especially as a mum, because. you get so few moments to feel good in your own skin and wear a lovely gown”, she said. God, this Kate can be so normal!
