Kate Winslet Wins $ 40,000 From Libel Lawsuit!

Kate Winslet got irritated when she found out that she was called the "the world's most irritating actress" by one tabloid! The article sounded like "Should Kate Winslet Win an Oscar for the World's Most Irritating Actress" and according to Kate that "injured her personal and professional reputation." Kate added that she also felt "distressed and embarrassed" by the article.
So the actress sued British tabloid The Daily Mail which have written this title. According to WENN, the 'Titanic' actress won the lawsuit, so the tabloid has now to pay her $ 40,000 in damages and apologize.
"I am delighted that the Mail have apologized for making false allegations about me. I was particularly upset to be accused of lying about my exercise regime and felt that I had a responsibility to request an apology in order to demonstrate my commitment to the views that I have always expressed about body issues, including diet and exercise. I strongly believe that women should be encouraged to accept themselves as they are, so to suggest that I was lying was an unacceptable accusation of hypocrisy", she said after the sentence was given.
