Kate Middleton's sheer dress
The see-through dress that Kate Middleton wore at a charity fashion show in 2002 was auctioned off on Thursday.
The dress, title “The Art of Seduction” was sold for $125,871.
But here’s the history of this dress. When she was at St. Andrew’s University, Kate agreed to model a student-made outfit for charity. The dress was actually a piece of sheer black silk that was intended to be a sheer skirt. The mesh dress was designed by textile student Charlotte Todd. As you can see the dress couldn’t cover much up.
The day Kate wore the dress is believed to be the same day Prince William became interested in her.
