Kate Middleton marks first post hospitalization appearance
Kate Midldleton is a big fan of Alexander McQueen. The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out in her favorite designer in her first official appearance since leaving the hospital.
Kate was seen wearing a green floor-length dress with a daring thigh-high slit. She was the guest of honor at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards show in London, on Sunday, December 16.
Kate didn’t stay for the whole event which took four hours. She arrived at around 9:30 p.m. for the last hour.
“We’re so delighted to be joined by Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge”, host Gary Lineker told the audience at the ExCeL arena.
The crowd of thousands applauded while Kate blushed a little bit and smiled. She marched out clutching the lifetime achievement trophy for Sebastian Coe, who led the London 2012 Olympics. The Duchess remained on the stage to hand over another award, the top prize for sports personality, which went to cyclist Bradley Wiggins. She was also seen chatting with runner-up athlete Jessica Ennis.
Kate was an ambassador for the British Olympic and Paralympics teams.
Prince William’s wife is currently pregnant with the couple’s first child. In the last couple of weeks she was hospitalized with severe morning sickness. But she seemed just fine at the event. She looked frail, but fine, smiling and chatting with the other guests. So far we can only see a tiny baby bump and she hasn’t gained weight.
William married Kate in April 2011.
