Kanye West and Taylor Swift
Last night, at MTV Video Music Awards, Taylor Swift was the winner in Best Female Video category (with “You Belong With Me” song). The moment she wanted to enjoy her work’s trophy, Kanye West has just spoiled her happiness by running on stage.
He took a microphone and interrupted Taylor in order to let everybody know he thought that Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” deserved that award instead!!!
Maybe Beyonce did deserve that award, but still, Kanye’s gesture was really inappropriate. After all, 19 years old Taylor, in her turn, deserves a little respect.
It would be even more disappointing to find out that Kanye’s interruption was all about publicity, like with Bruno and Eminem scene recently at MTV Movie Awards. That would be a bigger sign of disrespect for Taylor Swift.
Anyway, in the end, Kanye apologised for his attitude. But perhaps Taylor doesn’t even care about the apologies!
