Justin Bieber Nominated for BET Awards!

Justin Bieber has won his place among the real singers! The 16-year-ols Canadian singer will compete in the Best New Artist category and was nominated for the awards alongside Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce.

Usually BET Awards honor Black singers, actors, actresses and athletes, but they make an exception this year. They seem to consider Bieber as a cross-over artist.
“Bieber has crossed the color boundaries the same way that hip-hop has crossed the boundaries the other way for a number of years. He’s had rhythm in his music. He makes the type of music our audience likes”, Stephen Hill, BET’s President of Music Programing and Specials said.
Justin Bieber’s latest album, My World 2.0, debuted at No.1 on the Billboard charts in March.
