Judge Dismissed Lawsuit Against Jerry Seinfeld’s Wife Over Cookbook Plagiarism

Jerry Seinfeld made a huge fortune out of his TV series ‘Seinfeld’. And his wife did also a pretty good job with her best-selling cookbook, “Deceptively Delicious: Simple Secrets to Getting Your Kids Eating Good Food”. Only that a woman, called Missy Chase Lapine (author of “The Sneaky Chef: Simple Strategies for Hiding Healthy Foods in Kids’ Favorite Meals”) sued Seinfeld’s  wife, Jennifer, claiming she took her idea for a cookbook about sneaking healthy foods into kids’ meals.
Fortunately (for the Seinfelds) a Federal judge dismissed the case as irrelevant yesterday saying that Lapine’s book is “a dry, rather text-heavy work”, while Jessica’s is a “bright and cheerful, full of different colors and various patterns”.
