Jenny Sanford Files for Divorce from South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford!

Jenny Sanford, South Carolina's First Lady files for divorce from her unfaithful husband, Governor Mark Sanford. The reason? This July Jenny found out that Mark was having an affair with an Argentinian woman. According to Greenville News, quoting Jenny Sanford, the divorce "came after many unsuccessful efforts at reconciliation, yet I am still dedicated to keeping the process that lies ahead peaceful for our family".

Then she added: "I remain thankful to so many across this state and nation for their words of encouragement and prayers during this difficult time.

Please know the boys and I are doing well and are blessed with the incredible support of friends and family and bolstered by our faith and the unfailing love of our God above."

Ironically, her statement comes just one day after her husband, Mark Sanford declared: "There are hopes to reconcile". This week, the Governor was also rebuked by a legislative panel for his behaviour.

In August, Jenny who helped Mark Sanford in his political career and the couple's four sons moved out of the Governor's Mansion and into the family home on Sullivan's Island.
