Jennifer Hudson performs with kids from Sandy Hook gun massacre school
America knows how to turn drama into art. Jennifer Hudson performed at 2013 Super Bowl on February 3 along with a choir of children from Sandy Hook gun massacre school.
The 31-year-old singer and the kids performed an emotional version of ‘America The Beautiful’. The song was also a tribute to the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
Jennifer donned a black leather Monika Chiang top and a white button front L’Wren Scott skirt. The singer adorned the top with a green ribbon in honor of those lost at Sandy Hook. She was flanked by over two dozen children from the school which was devastated by a shooting rampage last December. 20 first-graders and six adults were killed during the massacre.
“Such a privilege to be performing w the Sandy Hook elementary chorus at the #SuperBowl today. We go on just before kick off!” the singer wrote on twitter moments before her performance. “NoNo matter who or what we r, we must pray! Thank u lord for this day! May thy will be done! Have your way , oh God!!” she added.
