
Jenni Rivera death: cops arrested for stealing the victims' items
Imagine this: two Mexican police officers have been arrested following Jenni Rivera‘s death. The reason is funny and sad at the same time. The cops stole items from the Jenni Rivera plane crash site.
According to TMZ, citing government officials, at least one of the cops is suspected of leaking crash scene photographs to the media. The pictures included shots of body parts and personal documents.
More than that, when investigators searched the cops’ houses, they found items belonging to some of the victims.
One of the cops is 23 years old, the other is one year older.
The 43-year-old singer was declared dead after her plan crashed as she was flying from Monterrey to Toluca, Mexico on December 8. Four other passengers and two pilots were also aboard with the singer. No one survived the accident.
Jenni Rivera was divorced and has no children.
She was named one of the 25 most powerful women by People en Espanol and reportedly signed on recently to do a comedy pilot for ABC. She has sold over 20 million albums worldwide.
