James Holmes charged with FIRST DEGREE MURDER

James Holmes was in court a few minutes ago. The gunman who shot 70 people in a crowded movie theater on Friday, July 20 had a meeting with a Colorado judge. He killed 12 people and injured more than 50 in a crowded movie theater during a screening of ‘The Dark Knight’ .

James Holmes was sporting red hair and told people he was “The Joker” when he was apprehended by police on Friday morning, July 20. It looks like Holmes was trying to recreate a scene from the 2008 movie, “The Dark Knight”. The movie features a scene where The Joker (played by late Heath Ledger), wears a red wig while destroying a hospital.

During the meeting with the judge, that began at 8:30 AM PT, Holmes was wearing a red jumpsuit and his hair was dyed orange-red. He seemed sedated while making bizarre movements with his eyes and forehead. He also continued to close his eyes almost like he was going in and out of consciousness. Was he just pretending?

Anyway, Holmes is represented by a public defender and charged with FIRST DEGREE MURDER. The formal charges are expected to be filed next Monday.

According to TMZ, the judge informed Holmes that he will kept in custody on a no-bail hold due to the dangerous nature of the crimes he’s been accused of committing.

Holmes has been forbidden from contacting any of the victims or their families.
