Is Dane Cook's Tax Lien a Mistake?

We love Dane Cook, but when it comes to pay his debts, he not such a nice guy.

The actor claims that the Tax Board made a mistake that could have cost him more than $ 500,000. It looks like the State of California has issued a tax lien against Cook for $515,430.43. The money amount represents the actor's unpaid taxes and penalties from 2005, 2006 and 2007. Money amount thathe hasn't paid yet.
Cook says the lien "was erroneously filed by the State of California" adding that "they are in the process of removing this mistaken lien from their records".
According to TMZ.com,  the lien is still "active" and who knows how much time will pass until the process will be solved.
