Halle Berry is going to appear in an Oscar-inspired episode of ‘The Simpsons’ during the show’s forthcoming 22nd season.
The Oscar winning actress will play herself in a storyline which will see her present an Academy Award to both Bart Simpson and his dad Homer. “It’s a bit of a satire of the different Oscar acceptances where two people clearly race to the stage to get there first, and Homer and Bart are fighting to be the one that accepts”, ‘The Simpsons’ producer Al Jean told reporters during the Comic Con Convention in San Diego last weekend.
And Halle is not the only one to make a cameo on ‘The Simpsons’. ‘Mad Men’ star Jon Hamm and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg will also be there.
The episode starring Halle Berry is scheduled to air in early 2011.
