Green Day frontman hospitalized
Billie Joe Armstrong has been hospitalized. Green Day was forced to cancel a concert at the I-Day Festival in Bologna, Italy. The reason? The frontman, Billie Joe was rushed to the hospital on September 2.
According to NBC News, details about what is ailing singer Billie Joe were not released. Green Day bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tre Cool posted a video on YouTube to apologize to fans. They added that doctors advised Billie Joe not to perform this weekend.
As for the band’s activity, The Daily Mail reported that Green Day’s new album trilogy, “Uno!”, “Dos!” and “Tre!” will be released in three stages over the next few months.
