
Rue McClanahan
Rue McClanahan died at age 76, her manager confirmed.
Best known as Southerner Blanche Deveraux from ‘Golden Girls’ (which aired from 1985 to 1992) had triple bypass surgery last November. In January she had a stroke.
McClanahan’s TV appearances also include ‘Maude’ and ‘Mama’s Family’. Also in 1969, she starred on Broadway alongside Dustin Hoffman in musical ‘Jimmy Shine’.
Rue McClanahan has been married six times, and is survived by one son, Mark Bish, from her first marriage.
