Fantasia Barrino “Doing Fine” After Suicide Attempt!

On Monday night, Fantasia Barrino was admitted to a Charlotte, NC hospital following  an overdose of aspirin and a sleep aid. The information was confirmed by her manager Brian Dickens on Thursday.
“Her injuries are not life threatening. She was dehydrated and exhausted at the time,” he adds, noting that Barrino is now “stable. She will be released from the hospital soon”, Dickens said.
The suicide attempt came just hours after her representative addressed rumors of a sex tape starring Barrino and Antwaun Cook. The reported sex tape convinced Cook’s wife, Paula to file for divorce.
“Fantasia and Mr. Cook dated on and off for about eleven months. Fantasia believed Mr. Cook when he told her he was not happy in his marriage and his heart was not in it. Fantasia fell in love with Mr. Cook and believed that he loved her. She knows some of the allegations …. are totally false. There are  others she strongly doubts. There is plenty she does not know. Fantasia is heartbroken and is sorry for any pain she may have caused. Yesterday, she was totally overwhelmed by the lawsuit and the media attention. Fantasia is a fighter and a survivor. This is not the hardest thing Fantasia has endured. Fantasia will be stronger, smarter, and better for it”, Brian Dickens said.
After the hospitalization, Fantasia’s father told RadarOnline.com that his 26-year-old daughter’s condition is stable. “She’s doing fine”, Joseph Barrino said. “Fantasia is stable now.  She will be released from the hospital soon”,  her manager continued.
